Controversial social activist Shamila Liyanarachchi has died at Ragama Hospital. She was in the hospital for weeks before she died. It has been reported that the cause of the sudden hospital admission was a ‘stroke’. It is also reported that an open verdict has been given regarding the death.

Shamila was a controversial figure when she was alive.

1. She married a prisoner named Bandula Senarath. He was the main witness in the  Welikada Prison Massacre. Shamila married him while he was in prison.

2. In early 2019, Series of digital evidence was leaked showing that notorious businessman Priyan Manik had molested a little girl and  Shamila made that revelation.

3. Shamila strongly criticized the Rajapaksas regime.

4. Shamila also criticized the corupted prison officials and the police.

Shamila worked with the Prisoner’s Rights Organization founded by lawyer Senaka Perera. Not only did Shamila reveal many controversial facts during her lifetime, she was also a  house of secrets

Shamila also shared her views with National Alert while she was alive. She often said that there is a big threat to her life. it is worth noting, She has said with us that the information of her secret storage was given to lawyer Senaka Perera and Achala Seneviratne too.

We spoke to Senaka to inquire about Shamila. However, lawyer Senaka Perera no more in Srilanka. He has  moved to western country with a scholarship . He told us that it is not possible to intervene decisively according to the existing situation

However, many people believe that there is a big mystery behind this death

The program ‘Truth with Chamuditha’ made the most revelations about the investment company run by Thilini Priyamali in the World Trade Complex.

Recently the  ‘Truth with Chamuditha’ made another hair straightening revelation. The ‘Truth with Chamuditha’ program revealed that Thilini’s father is former JVP leader Somawansa Amarasinghe. They exposed this with evidence.

With that revelation, Keerthi Ratnayake has received death threats from unidentified group. Moreover, he continues to receive harassing phone calls.

So far, the “Truth with Chamuditha” YouTube channel and Facebook page have received thousands of reader responses. When analyzing them carefully, an operation targeting Chamuditha Samarawickrama and Keerthi Ratnayake can be identified.

It can be seen that the operation was launched by the JVP cadres and they emphasize several points in their campaign.

1. Saying that Chamuditha and Keerthi’s ambition is nothing but mudslinging on JVP

2. Saying that JVP is gaining huge popularity and Chamudita and Keerthi are performing a political mud contract.

3. To convey the message that since JVP is ready to take power in the country, journalist should refrain from criticizing them.

4. Pointing out all criticisms against JVP as conspiracies of opponents

JVP has been relentlessly criticizing every party in the country since the day it entered the political stream. According to JVP, everyone except them are thieves, cheats, and criminals. JVP used 3 main strategies for its politics.

1. So-called Patriotism
2. Creating imperialist bogeymen
3. Terror application

In 2005, the Rajapaksas stole the above strategies from the JVP. Then the Rajapaksa’s won the elections using that strategy. JVP practice and Rajapakse practice are like two sides of the same coin.

Journalists like Keerthi and Chamuditha were severely retaliated during the Rajapaksa regime. They were often called to the CID. Sometimes even had to go to jail.

It is a matter of regret that taking revenge from the journalists in an organized manner just after making one criticism about the JVP.

Maldives President Mohamed Ibrahim Solih has appointed a controversial person as Sri Lanka’s new ambassador. The person who got the controversial appointment is Ali Faiz. He is a leader of the anti-Buddhist movement launched in the Maldives.

After Abdul Gayoom, Mohamed Nasheed became the President of Maldives in 2007. Nasheed is a friend from Sri Lanka. In October 2008, Nasheed set out to preserve an ancient Buddhist monastery on Kasu Island with American aid.

On November 2, 2008, in a conversation with the Sri Lankan Sunday Times newspaper, Nasheed revealed about the anti-Buddhist campaign that was spreading throughout the Maldives. When Nasheed was trying to preserve the Buddhist heritage in the Maldives, Ali Faiz was the main opponent.

On February 7, 2012, President Nasheed was overthrown in a coup. With the loss of power to Nasheed, the anti-Buddhist wave spread like wildfire. Ali Faiz led that wave. They not only destroyed the ancient temples, but also destroyed the Buddhist monuments  in the Male National Museum.

Ali Faiz was part of the conspiracy that overthrew Nasheed. Nasheed is a friend of China.it was undisputed fact that  RAW intelligence was behind the coup that ousted Nasheed from power. Accordingly, there is no mistake in saying that Ali Faiz was a mercenary in that cult.

Modi’s BJP government won a clear victory in 2019 because of the Easter bomb in Sri Lanka. Islam bogyman is a good tool for BJP to gain power. India is currently preparing for the next election.

Currently, the ISIS seed sowing has been restarted in the region. Buddhist-Islamic conflicts, which were quiet for a while, are being reactivated. In such a situation, the security forces and the government of this country should be aware of why Ali Faiz is coming

A number of websites have reported that SJB MPs Rajitha and Kiriella will join the government during the budget debate. It is stated in the reports that Rajitha will be given the post of Health Minister and Kiriella will be given a post of a Cabinet Minister.

Hirunika recently joined a conversation with Me Masso YouTube channel and stated that MP Kiriella is age-old and should leave politics .

“National Alert” contacted  MP Kiriella  to inquire about this. Kiriella  stated that the website reports are not true. Nevertheless he refrain from the commenting  on Hirunika’s statement.

However, the efforts of “National Alert” to contact both Rajitha and Chatura Senaratne failed.

Politics in Sri Lanka is an inheritance  from father to son. Currently, elderly politicians are constantly fighting to hand over their political legacy to their children.

Chatura Senaratne has not held any position in the SJB party so far. Rajata has informed Sajith several times that he wants to transfer his political legacy to Chatura. But till now no proper response has been received from Sajith.

It is undisputed fact that Kiriella MP has also had such conflicts with Sajith. However, Kiriella’s daughter has got a high position in the SJB party. But Chamindrani Kiriella has not done even a small part work to the SJB party  comparing to Hirunika . At least Chamindrani  doesn’t know how to talk with a ordinary citizen sincerely and true manner.

Circumstance whatsoever It is a tragedy, Sri Lankan politics is becoming an estate, that  inherited from father to children.

Facts being so , conclusion is Rajitha could join with the government and Kiriella will not .

The opposition held a protest yesterday (3). Repeal of the Terrorism Act was its main theme. It is no secret that the government of this country uses the PTA law as a hunting knife. There are 5 categories that are hunted by the PTA .

1. LTTE Suspects
2. ISIS suspects
3. Underworld main line
4. Struggle leaders
6. Journalists/civil activists who are a threat to the Rajapaksa regime

The Terrorism Act is more than 3 decades old. It is worth to note PTA cannot be applied to journalists, civil activists and  underworld members. Nevertheless,There is nothing wrong in applying PTA to LTTE, ISIS suspects and rebel leaders

Sajith Premadasa’s PTA protest is absurd. Throught out last decades, hundreds of civil activists, journalists and underworld members were arrested illegally using PTA. But nothing was done by Sajith Premadasa .

Sajith Premadasa’s PTA protest was started after Wasantha Mudalige’s arrest.

As Wasantha was a popular topic , Sajith contributed to that context . But Sajith does not talk about Lakshman coory, who has been detained under PTA for 13 years also voice less  Muslims and LTTE suspects as well.

The Leader of the Opposition should be more sensitive to the issues burning the citizens of this country. As the leader of the opposition, if Sajith does not have a proper understanding of people’s problems, what is the point of appointing him to power?

Leaders who are insensitive to the plight of the people should be kicked out with rotten eggs.

The 19th Constitution was brought by the UNP government that came to power in 2015. At that time, the Rajapaksa regime had established a dictatorial  framework through the 18th  amendment. The UNP government that came to power in 2015 curtailed those powers again, that  through the 19th amendment.

Gotabaya became the President in 2019. Again, He restored dictatorial powers through the 20th Amendment. Gotabaya resigned in August 2022. After that, Ranil came to power. Ranil had a great influence that the dictatorial powers added by Gota should be curtailed. Accordingly, the 22nd amendment was brought.

In 2015 or through the 19th Amendment, 2 main clauses  were introduced to curtail executive powers. Thus, In 2015, the Supreme Court ruled that those amendments can be passed by a special majority of 2/3 of the Parliament without a referendum. Accordingly, the amendment was easily passed. Said  two clauses  are,

1. Abolition of the President’s discretionary power to remove the Prime Minister

2, In appointing Ministers, the President shall act on the advice of the Prime Minister

Because of that amendment, the dictatorial powers of the President were limited.As mentioned above after Gotabaya came to power, he brought the 20th Amendment and re-added dictatorial powers.

After Ranil came to power in 2022, there was a loud voice that executive powers should be limited. Accordingly, in September 2022, the 22nd Amendment was introduced.

The Supreme Court ruled that a referendum should be held to amend the discretion to remove the Prime Minister and appoint ministers. Accordingly, the Supreme Court has given 2 different decisions on the same issue.

Because of this situation, Sumanthiran said in the Parliament, the Supreme Court is like a pendulum, and such people should also go home. Subsequently, The Minister of Justice has written to the Speaker that the Court was embarrassed by Sumanthiran’s  statement and Parliamentary Select Committee should be appointed to investigate  into it.

At this juncture,No matter what committees are appointed, what cases are filed, National Alert  has decided to stand with Sumanthiran .National Alert  stand with him nothing but justice only.
