A group of people claiming to be Galleface activists protested in front of the United Nations office in Colombo yesterday (11) against the Prevention of Terrorism Act. ( PTA )
Dhanish Ali and a group of SJB supporters could be seen there. Dhanish Ali usually criticizes JVP and Inter University Students Federation (IUSF) but never criticizes SJB. The reason for that is his dealings with SJB politicians.
Further it was evident SJB has also contributed to the coordination of this protest. Prominent SJB supporter has intervened to connect Wasantha Mudalige’s brother into protest.
Although it was said that the protest was against the Terrorism Act, no name of anyone who was actually suffering from that PTA was mentioned.
For example, former Superintendent of Police Lakshman Coory was imprisoned for 13 years under PTA. But his name was not mentioned in yesterday’s protest. The name of Mohammed Fazal, who cannot even be arrested under PTA, but has been imprisoned for 3 years, was not mentioned.
At least those who protested yesterday did not know about the number of suspects who are in jail under the PTA .
Yesterday’s protest was mare confined to only 2 names. They are Wasanta Mudalige and Siridhamma Thero. It is worthy to note They are the two least affected under PTA.

Actually, what was held yesterday was not a protest against the PTA, but a cheap survival game of SJB politicians and Galleface activists. Now they are planning to occupy the land in front of the UN office and set up a protest village there, like the Galleface Gota Go Village .
Such political games nothing but only delay the release of the real victims of PTA
