China has decided to open a consulate general office in Jaffna. These days, The Chinese authorities are engaged in acquiring suitable land.

As of now  more than 1.2 million people are living Northern Province. Its composition, Tamils  93% , Muslim 3%  and  Sinhalese 3 %.

There is more than 2500 years of written history between the Northern Tamils and India. But currently the Tamils are unhappy with Indian rules and behavior. There are 3 main reasons.

1. False promises and deceptions
2. Double stand
3. Failed projects and poor administration

Tamils are especially fed up with the lollipop type projects of the Indian Embassy. As a example , India spent very little amount to  renovate Jaffna Doreyappa Stadium and  huge amount of money was spent on the opening ceremony . Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also participated in the event through satellite technology.

Due to this kind of work, the Indian Embassy has become a joke among the Tamil people. Recently, the Indian Consulate General in Jaffna was even attacked by a drunken Tamilian.

Now Chinese authorities have touched the sensitive areas of the Tamil people. Northern people have received many economic benefits through the projects launched by Chinese investors. Currently, the operation of the Colombo Chinese Embassy  that launched in  Jaffna has attracted international attention. Some are as follows,

1. Create thousands of job opportunities by Chinese projects
2. Spending a huge amount of money on education and nutrition programs
3. Greater patronage in the fishery industry
4.  Chinese Ambassador’s Participation  at the annual ceremony at Nallur Temple, by traditional Hindu costume.
5. Chinese Ambassador spending the night in Jaffna with the Tamils
6. Chinese authorities use highly successful PR tactics

The Chinese authorities have planned to integrate with the Northern Tamil’s life   through the proposed Consulate General office.

The opening  a Chinese Consulate General office in Jaffna is a slap to India

We, National Alert, do not say that for nothing. Recently, when the Chinese ambassador visited Jaffna, some pro-Indian journalists questioned his journey to embarrass him.

Then  Chinese ambassador given a hair straightening answer. The Chinese Ambassador said ,  Jaffna is a part of Sri Lanka,  its not a city of India.

It is not wrong to say that the reply of the Chinese ambassador brought a strange joy to to many.
