Uber is the  largest transport company,  there is not a single vehicle. Airbnb is the world’s largest hotel provider, they do not have a single hotel. Although Amazon is the largest marketplace, there is not a single outlet. Although Google is the world’s largest advertising agency, they do not create a single ad.

E-commerce has become the most powerful commercial tool in the modern world. But in this context Sri Lanka is still in the Stone Age.

When ordering a product from abroad through the Internet, the payment must be converted into foreign currency. The relevant amount should be received by the seller. Companies such as PayPal perform the relevant intermediary tasks reliably. But Sri Lanka is yet to deal with companies like Paypal

In order to transact with Paypal, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, commercial banks, inland revenue department, and export control agencies must be properly networked. As we have not reached that stage, we can get goods from abroad. But the products of this country cannot be sold abroad.

When Ravi Karunanayake was the finance minister, he tried to connect Sri Lanka to the international e-commerce network together with ICTA. But it failed due to bureaucracy.

Then he prepared everything to carry out the work through a Canadian institution. But when the international e-commerce door was about to open for Sri Lanka, President Sirisena messed it up. Ravi resigned as Finance Minister due to Sirisena’s undue influence

A Sri Lankan entrepreneur has lost an export market worth billions of dollars because there is no way to get money by selling a product abroad through the Internet.  Sri Lankans have lost lakhs of online jobs.

Yesterday, President Ranil attended the Royal Thomian Big Match. Few days ago two groups in SLPP played a softball match. Namal Rajapaksa also played it.

Accordingly, Wimal Weerawansa made a big accusation, that Namal is ”ball playing”  when there is an economic crisis in the country. Further, Wimal insulted Namal by using words such as  “Pagira” and “injected boiler “.

Wimal, who insulted Namal, did not say a word about President Ranil, who watched the match all day. There are reasons for that.

The General Assembly of the World Football Federation was held in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, with the participation of 208 countries. Here, 197 countries voted in favor of imposing an international football ban against Sri Lanka.The reason was corruption .

Because of this, Sri Lanka lost millions of dollars aids  from the International Football Federation.

Today, no country in the world provides  loan to Sri Lanka.

However,  a significant number of dollars can be obtained from international organizations revolves with sports and environmental protection

This is why Ruwan Wijegunawardena, Maldivian speaker Nasheed and Eric Solheim were appointed as President advisers on climate change environment . But what did they do?

Although Ruwan, Nasheed and Solheim were given salaries and allowances, they could not get a penny from the international institutions.

The President does not have full discretion regarding the appointment of the Inspector General of Police. The President should forward 3 names to the Constitutional council for the new IGP. It should be done according to seniority and merit. Here,

1. The Constitutional council has the power to disapprove names proposed by the President

2. The President too have a power, not to implement the name approved by the Constitutional council (Send it back for amendment).

Facts being so, President and the Constitutional council should work without conflict. Therefore, it is important to inquire about the composition of the Constitutional council.It is consists of 10 members.

Speaker, Prime Minister and Leader of Opposition are appointed as its members ex officio. In addition, the President, the ruling party and the main opposition have the power to appoint representatives. Accordingly, Nimal Siripala de Silva has been named as the President’s representative, Sagara Kariyawasam as the government’s representative, and Kabir Hashim as the main opposition representative.

Also, a representative should be nominated by the minor parties. Due to the conflicts between the parties, so far it is vacant.

In addition, three civil society representatives are also nominating  with the agreement of the government and the opposition. Accordingly, Dr. Pratap Ramanujam, Dr. Dilkushi Anula Wijesundara and Dr. Dinesha Samararatne have been appointed. Ramanujam has been served in Public Service Commission and the several  ministries. Dilkushi is a doctor. Dinesha is an expert in the field of legal education.

According to the current composition of the Constitutional council, the current ruling party has more power.

CD Wickramarathana is conspiring to appoint one of his henchman as IGP instead of retiring after the end of his tenure. He is plotting against Deshabandu Tennakoon in particular.

Accordingly, charges have been filed against Deshbandu Tennakon stating that the amount of money found in Gotabaya’s residence was not properly reported to the court. Yesterday, the charge sheets were forwarded to the Defense Secretary under the signature of CD Wickramarathana.

The solution to the economic crisis is to resume  the tourism industry and investments. It can only be done in a peaceful environment. Because of this, today the country needs an Inspector General of Police who can control the protests and agitations.

The people of Sri Lanka prefer to be enlightened by the light of others rather than progressing on their own. Because of this, any crook can fool them. Once they stood in a 4 km queue to get the so-called corona medicine from the fraudster Dhammika Veda. The rogues who should be sent to jail, sent the parliament. Club Wasantha was  recognized as a idol of the society.

Now another person has joined this list. He is Viranjan Thambugala, who is deceiving people under the guise of a business called Aura Lanka. Lanka Truth web site , Chanya Herath and Lanka E News have made many revelations about this crook.

According to the article written by Chanya Herath, the name ‘Tambugala’ is not the real name. Although he introduces himself as a doctor, he is not a western doctor, nor a registered Ayurwedic doctor in Ayurveda Council, Nor he has Hereditary ayurvedic  lineage.

According to him, his assets are 15 Billion USD. (it is greater wealth than Dhammika Perera). But he is not a tax payer of five cents or to the government. Although he is a complete failed in education, but a professor of deceiving people.

According to the article written by Sajeeva Chamikara to Lanka Truth website, Viranjan was a TV and radio repairer in Rajanganaya area. At that time while he was digging a  treasure he was arrested and he was  in Negombo prison. In addition, he has been in Anuradhapura prison in connection with a money fraud. In the year 2021, he has shown a USD 783 million aloe vera project in Anuradhapura district and obtained a large number of acres of  land. Basil Rajapaksa and SM Chandrasena have intervened for the transfer of land in a cabinet paper

The Lanka E News article has also written the above points with more details. National Alert  investigated those facts and confirmed them to be true. Today’s National Alert special disclosure is also about him. Anyone can easily measure the truth or falsity of what we say. The facts are as follows.

1. The $783 million Aloe vera project he said is a complete lie. Although almost 2 years have passed since the land was handed over, not a single aloe plant has been planted so far.

2. This land transfer was done in 2021. By 2021, the global market share for aloe vera-related products is less than $600 million. In such a situation no one will invest 783 USD Million in such project.

3. Viranjith Thambugala recently gave an interview to Neth FM Radio. He said that he has a patent worth 18 billion US dollars. He said it was for a drug, that he had developed for Alzheimer’s disease. He said that by selling it, Sri Lanka’s foreign debt could be settled. Neth FM damn journalists raised the ball to dash Viranjan but did not ask a word about his frauds.

4. Alzheimer’s is a neurological disease. The number of victims of the disease is very limited. Today, the total value of the market share of drugs for Alzheimer’s disease is 1.5 billion USD. Because of this, whatever drug is produced, the patent cannot be sold for a big amount.

5. And according to American medical reports,to date no one has discovered a medicine that can cure Alzheimer’s disease.

6. The value of the patent related to wifi technology that works for the whole world is 1.6 million USD. These facts are enough to understand that Tambugala’s claim that it owns a patent of 15 Billion USD  is utter lie.

7. Viranjith Thambugala does not have any registered business in America. Although the Aura Lanka website mentions a US based business called Aura International LLC, Further he has not mentioned the USA address.

8. It has been stated that the name of the American business partner is Walter Jayasinghe. Walter Jayasinghe is also a crook not second to Viranjan. He is a person  related to the racket led by Thilini Priyamali and Janaki Siriwardena.

The wisdom  is the main dividing line that separates man and beast. Man has an intelligence to understand what is fertile and barren. But the people of this country are an some crazy  group of people who see barren things  as fertile.

A strike has started against the income taxes imposed by the government. There are two types of taxes in a country.

1. Indirect taxes – taxes paid by all citizens of the country regardless of monthly or daily earnings. Goods and Services Tax (GST) is an example of this.

2. Direct Taxes – Taxes paid only by high income earners. Income tax is an example of this

Every family in Sri Lanka pays nearly Rs 28,000 taxes to the government every month. Due to the irregular tax system, people have to pay taxes regardless of whether they are rich or poor.

In this system,by one hand a poor person has given a Rs 4,500 as Samurdi subsidy and other hand government collects Rs 6,675 tax from them. Further government collects Rs 350 per day as tax from plantation workers who earn Rs 1150 per day. This is a tragedy.

70% of the total tax revenue in this country is collected from the Goods and Services Tax (GST). Same is imposed on all people. Accordingly, the extremely poor and the millionaire pay the ‘same’ amount of tax.

The number of companies and individuals paying a substantial income tax in Sri Lanka is 665. Number of Companies and individuals who pay more than 5 million  tax per year is 132. Oops ! As per the existing system, Even the very poorer in the country pays Rs 300,000 taxes to the government.

Because of that mistake, not only poor people are suffering but also  Sri Lanka has became  a country with the lowest tax revenue. The happiest countries in the world have the highest taxes. And taxes in those countries are systematic. That is, the poor pay less tax. The tax paid by the rich is very high.

There are 2 solutions to fix  situation in Srilanka

1. Reduction of indirect taxes that pays  by all people. (Goods and Services Tax)
2. Increase in direct taxes that pays  only by the rich (income tax)

Income tax in Sri Lanka was imposed accordingly. That is to collect more tax from high income earners.In developed countries of the world, 50% of tax revenue is income tax. Even Under the new system, it is 36% in Sri Lanka.

imposing of  in income tax based with the earnings is  correct  decision. Whether the money collected as taxes is used efficiently by the government or not is another problem. But today’s strikes are not about that, but to turn the right decision upside down.

And it is a tragedy as well farce  that the JVP, who talks about a socialist system and is ready to expropriate private property, goes on strike against newly imposed  taxes on the rich.

Once upon a time , there lived a washerman. He had two pets-a dog and a donkey. The dog used to keep watch on his house the whole day long. The donkey used to carry the washerman’s load. One night the washerman was sleeping soundly and a thief came into the house. The dog too was fast asleep. But the donkey was awake. He thought to awaken his master. So, he began to bray loudly. On listening the braying of the donkey, the washerman could not sleep. He came out and beaten the donkey.

The Provincial council  elections (PC) in Sri Lanka were to be held in 2016. But till today it has not been held. The reason for its delay is the confusion in the report of the Delimitation Commission. However, no one is worry about  that.

Local government elections (LG)  in Sri Lanka were to be held in 2023. But so far it has not been held. As per SLGOV there are 2 reasons for it. The first reason is lack of money for the government. The other reason is, the Delimitation Commission report  that called for reducing the LG representatives by 50% is yet to receive.

However, the opposition, those who are  silent about the PC elections that have been postponed for 6 years, is very upset about the LG elections that have been postponed for few months.

Holding an election when there is an economic crisis is an advantage for the opposition. The opposition is not asking for an election today to safeguard the people or democracy but for narrow political gains.

Further, the opposition went to the Supreme Court demanding local government election. Accordingly Court ordered the Parliament not to withhold the money allocated for the LG election.

In a democratic country, the executive, the legislature and the judiciary are 3 independent institutions. One institution should not interfere in the affairs of the other and there should be a ‘check and balance’ control between them.

Meanwhile Parliament member Premanath Dolawatta said that Parliament was undermined by the Supreme Court by the particular order. He pointed out that the financial control, which is an exclusive power of the Parliament, has been affected due to the court order . Accordingly the Speaker decided to conduct an inquiry on it.

Subsequently, Yesterday  JVP leader Anura Kumara made another revelation. He disclosed that, there is a plan to summon the Supreme Court judges who gave the interim order and question them before the Parliament.

Economic crises cannot be solved by court orders. If someone tries to find solutions to economic crises by court orders, the crisis will worsen. Such a situation is emerging in Sri Lanka now.

The local government election was postponed. A few months ago, The National Alert revealed that this is happening. However, American Ambassador Julie Chung issued a statement yesterday stating that the LG election is essential. No matter what ever says, the LG election will not be held soon.

As of now, both election the local government (LG) and provincial councils (PC)  have been postponed. The last LG election was held in 2018. Accordingly, it expired in 2022.

The last PC election was not held in one day. The Eastern, North Central and Sabaragamuwa PC elections were held in 2012. North West and Northern PC in 2013. Uva and Southern PC in 2014. That is, some PCs have expired for more than 6 years.

The PC elections were scheduled to be held during the time of President Sirisena. But there they decided to hold the election in a new system. Accordingly, the Delimitation Commission tasked to prepare  a new system. But the duly prepared Delimitation Committee’s report was defeated when it was submitted to the Parliament. Accordingly, the new system, which was prepared spending crores of rupees, was thrown into the trash.

In the meantime, President Sirisena tried to hold the election in the old system, ignoring the Delimitation Commission, but the Supreme Court said that it was not possible.

At present, the Ranil-Rajapaksa government has decided to hold the LG elections in a new system. Accordingly, the Delimitation Commission informed to prepare a new system. Upon said preparation, it is to be produced to the Minister in charge, and  approval requires from the Cabinet and Parliament.Further It should be remembered that the Head  of the Delimitation Commission is, Mahinda Deshapriya, who is a cold rouge.

As mentioned above, since the Delimitation Commission has been entrusted to prepare a new system LG election cant not be held by old system. It is so according to the theory of judicial precedent. (According to Article 129(1) the decision given by the Supreme Court to President Sirisena in 2017)

However, there is a favorable situation for the government regarding the holding of the election, both constitutionally and practically. If the election is held under the old system, the number of representatives to be selected is 8356. Under the new system, it has been reduced to 4000.

According to the old system, the total number of people’s representatives who are appointed to LG, PC  and parliament is 9012. According to that, one out of every 2350 people living in Sri Lanka is an MP otherwise people’s representative. But there are less than 20 heart surgeons in the country.

Fats being so,  no one can prevent the proposal that reduce MPs. It is difficult to predict the time that will take to implement the new system, but it will take remarkable  time. in other words claims of Julie Chang is immaterial, the LG election is held on a day of Ranil’s choice

1960-80 was the golden age of left-wing politics. The Leftist camp was magnified with  China,Soviet Union and many. Sirimavo Bandaranaike, the world’s first female Prime Minister, was also with the socialist camp. Accordingly, many of her policies took a socialist shape. On the other hand, she was anti-American.

Sirimavo brought the Special Act No. 28 of 1961 and kicked out multinational companies such as Shell, Mobil, Caltex, Exxon, Standard Oil from Sri Lanka. She also took over 83 gas stations belonging to American companies to the government without compensation. Further she established large factories in the country with the support of socialist camp.As a result of said moves  American-Sri Lankan relations were in crisis.

In the face of this situation, America was not a silent spectator. CIA agents conspired against Sirimavo. The CIA used a young man named Nandasiri who was lost in Russia. CIA agents made said young man with patriotic face. His original name ”Nandasiri”, changed to ”Rohana”. This is how they designed Rohana Wijeweera.

On American support, Rohana Wijeweera opposed Sirimavo. He led a rebellion in 1971 and tried to seize power. Although Sirimavo was able to quell the rebellion with help from the socialist camp, her government collapsed due to its influence.

In 1987, the Indo-Lanka Peace accord was signed.Accordingly, the Indian peacekeeping force came to Sri Lanka. Immediately after indo-lanka peace accord  Rohana Wijeweera armed himself and came back to the scene. Wijeweera worked in collaboration with the Prime Minister then R.Premadasa.He used the JVP as a assassin tool and killed his political rivals. At that time,war was raging in the north and south .In that situation, Wijeweera tried to seize power by leading an armed struggle.

As 2020 approached, the Corona pandamic spread all over the world. The tourism industry, which was the third largest source of dollars for Sri Lanka, completely collapsed. Accordingly, an economic crisis arose in the country. There were queues for oil, gas and milk. Lakhs lost their jobs. The people were disappointed. In the face of this situation, the foreign forces against Sri Lanka were active again.They conspired to anarchy the country by using JVP and Frontline Socialists. The conspiracy is not over yet.

Furthermore,
1. In 1971, Rohana Wijeweera did not have the brains to see that Sirimavo could defeat the insurgency by taking military aid from the socialist camp.

2. In 1989, Rohana Wijeweera didn’t have the brains to see that he might be killed by Ranjan Wijeratne despite his deal with Premadasa.

3. Anura Kumar and Kumar Gunaratnam did not have the brains to see what would happen after Gota was chased in 2022 (Harini Amarasuriya said it in public).

4. JVP and Front-liners didn’t have the brains to see that Ranil’s brains would make them invalid coins, despite the their deals with Army commander Shavendra de Silva.

5. There is a story that, if the son does not do what the father did,he will be a bastard. Sajith’s father made a deal with JVP. Today Sajith is dealing with enemy forces. Sajith does not have a brain to understand the reasons that caused to shoveled out his father’s body

Modern democracy is not  ruling the country according to the will of all, but ruling according to the will of the majority. The JVP and the front-liners  are very few. But the impact they have made on the country is huge. Said impact  is not progressive but destructive. It is the responsibility of patriotic citizens to stop the destructive activities they are doing by taking the law of the country into their hands. It is not the army but the public that should take up arms for that.
