During the budget debate President Ranil said a strange story. He said ” No room for Đình Diệms’ in Sri Lanka”. The meaning of Ranil’s actions and speeches cannot understand at the first sight. Often the target audience of Ranil’s speeches not the general public but diplomats.
Recently, Eric Solheim and Mohamed Nasheed appointed as presidential advisers on climate change . Then many said, “When the country is bankrupt, Ranil is appointing Climate Advisers, what a nonsense , Ranil is crazy”.
But Ranil’s plan was a profound one. It is undisputed fact that No one will lend money to bankrupt Srilanka country. But there are two alternative ways that can borrow dollar loans to bankrupt country. That is, as humanitarian aid and environmental projects .
Saving the environment is a global responsibility. Developed countries allocate billions of dollars to protect the global environment. Now, Ranil is now trying to get that dollars to Sri Lanka by adopting Solehim and Nasheed as Presidential Advisors.
The Đình Diệm story also not understandable at first sight. Joining with the Budget Debate Mahinda said, Gotabhaya’s government chased out by foreign enemy forces.
After that speech, Ranil said, puppet masters like Đình Diệm will not be allowed to emerge in Sri Lanka.
Dean Diem was a pro-American ruler in Vietnam. Đình Diệm received support from Christian elites .Further, Đình Diệm joined with the Cardinal of Vietnam and launch various conspiracies .
It is worth to note, Ranil compared Sajith Premadasa to Din Diem in his speech. Today it is open secret Sajith depends on Christian forces.
Further, As how Americans tried to destabilize Vietnam by using Đình Diệm, Now Americans is trying to destabilize Sri Lanka by using Sajith . It should not be forgotten that,Ranil through his speech, accused Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith too.
