There is more to it than what we read. The Mauryan dynasty of Sri Lanka ended with the death of King Yasalalaka Tissa. After that, Lambakarna dynasty came to power. According to history, Yasalalaka was a fun-loving king. Doorkeeper was the king’s playmate. The king and doorkeeper had similar features. On the fateful day, the king and the doorkeeper changed their costumes to make the court laugh.
How dare the doorkeeper, who wore the royal costumes for a short time, managed to behead the real King ? How was it possible to complete the long procedure until the real king was taken and beheaded? Certainly, Doorkeeper had the support of the royal palace stalwarts. This is a grand conspiracy. The doorkeeper is a paid agent in this conspiracy. The conspiracy was launched by the Lambakarna dynasties.
The Mauryan dynasty ended with the assassination of King Yasalalaka Tissa . After that, Wasabha of Lambakarna dynasty came to power. King Wasabha combined agriculture with engineering.He started to built Big lakes, canals, dams and roads . At the same time, the trade in the country developed. He made Sri Lanka as an economic powerhouse.
Indian influences were common during Mauryan rule. The reason for this is Mauryan dynasty was slavery to Indians. Nevertheless, the Mauryan dynasties appeared as they are the only saviors of the Buddhists.
