On 1st Oct 2022, The National Alert published news about an incident of abusing power and demanding a bribe from a Sri Lankan passenger who arrived at Male airport in the Maldives.
The official who asked for bribes is Moosa Haleem. His photograph has also been posted in the news article.
After publishing that news, on the 2nd, and 3rd of October 2022, Moosa Hallem contacted the National Alert editor-in-chief by the Number 009607788245. Subsequently, he requested to remove the news about him. Further, He intimated his readiness to offer something in return if the National alert web does so.
It is worth noting, The National Alert web publishes news with the evidence. No one can remove those by using money or power
