While India staging military parades on Republic Day, 2TB quantity of highly sensitive data related to their national security was stolen.

1. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)
It is the premier agency under the Ministry of Defence of India, charged with the military’s research and development. DRDO engages with creation of major systems and critical technologies such as aircraft avionics, UAVs, small arms, artillery systems, EW Systems, tanks and armoured vehicles, sonar systems, command and control systems and missile systems.
2. Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE)
GTRE also organization operates under the Ministry of Defence of India. The main charter of the GTRE is to design and develop gas-turbine engines for military applications
On the Republic Day of India, Sri Satyanarayan’s Solar Industries which is the mastermind of these two institutions, reportedly hacked.
Investigators suspect that the attack was carried out by the BlackCat Ransomware hacker group. CloudSEK Data security firm has confirmed that the incident and data leak is true .
According to an update provided by CloudSEK, hackers have stole about 2TB of data including top secret military information and technical data about latest weapon.
Further, Investigators have discovered that the first bullet of the cyberattack, otherwise malware came from an entity based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
